The course provides students with advanced training to become agents of digital transformation in organisations. Students will acquire value creation based skills, which will allow them to balance traditional and digital business strategic management and relate people and organisations taking advantage of Information Systems and Technologies for the benefit of the organisations and the society.
Admission Requirements
This cycle of studies is open to all candidates who are:
- Holders of a first-cycle degree or legal equivalent in the field of Business Sciences, Computer Science or related areas;
- holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organised according to the principles of the Bologna process in the scientific area of this cycle of studies or related areas;
- holders of a foreign higher degree that is recognised by the Scientific Council of ISMAI as fulfilling the objectives of the degree in the scientific area of this cycle of studies or related areas;
- holders of a school, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognised as attesting the ability to carry out this cycle of studies by the Scientific Council of ISMAI.

Holders of a Master's degree in Digital Transformation will have a wide range of professional opportunities, namely in the scope of business and organisational management, digital transformation management, organisational change management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, innovation management and sustainability management.
Differentiating Factors
The study plan has been designed based on the models of the world's most prestigious universities and is the first Master's degree in Portugal in the field of Digital Transformation. It's an innovative Master's programme that aims to explore market opportunities with regards to organisations transition to digital management.
The teaching body is totally composed of holders of doctorate degrees from renowned universities, with experience in the skills that lead to the strategy and operationalisation of Digital Transformation. Teaching staff integrate Research Units recognised and evaluated by the Foundation for Science and Technology, such as LIACC – Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (Excellent); INESC TEC - INESC Technology and Science (Very Good), and Research Centre for Geo-Spatial Sciences, from the University of Porto (Good), among others.
